You are in the right place; I have been immersed in underwater photography since 2016. The water, the light and you in the water create images that are truly unique and one-off pieces of art. Artwork of you that show your body and movement through the water buoyant and graceful, is a powerful way for you to connect with your body in an ethereal way.

This experience allows you to fully immerse yourself (literally!) in letting go and having some real deal FUN. All the while creating artistic portraits that represent YOU in this very moment in time. Maybe you want to allow yourself to be fully present and play? We start off with a good chat to give you all the tips that I've learnt over the last 7 years. This includes breathing techniques, safety, and also setting your intention for the shoot.

What to expect at your underwater shoot

Every shoot is different- so based on what we covered in your pre shoot consult will help me guide you- It may not feel that graceful at times but I assure you I'm getting all the shots and you look far more graceful then it feels!

Based on our location, props, and inspiration- we will play with a variety of poses and techniques- the time will fly by! You will be feeling a mix of exhilarated and tired! I reccommend lots of water and not too much else planned on the same day.

I know you will be excited to see what I captured so I usually share a reel on my instagram the same day, so you can get a little glimmer of whats to come!

Once you're feeling comfortable we will jump in the water! We will usually start with some directions from me to help get you out of your head and "break the ice"- I totally get that this experience is NOTHING like any other photoshoot you may have done, don't worry I will be directing you the whole time.

I don't edit to change how you look dramatically but happy to edit things like pimples or bruises that wouldn't normally be there.

The editing process for me is very personalised to each shoot and every single image you purchase gets full individual attention, and while it is a very time consuming part of the process I love watching an image come to life.

Editing any photos is a very personal photographer process- but underwater editing really takes things to another level of dedication to have a beautiful finish.

Colours under the water in photos can vary greatly and I take great care to edit out things like pool jets, random floating bits of seaweed etc and have the perfect balance to have the perfect skin colour in your final images.

When you purchase prints and albums through me you can be rest assured that i have sourced the very best quality products from local Perth, and Australian suppliers. All images are triple checked before sending to print.

In this digital age I feel even more strongly for you to have a tangible way to relive all the memories. I see prints for the wall as art to be enjoyed everyday, and albums to treasure all your favourites to be enjoyed in one beautiful place for many many years to come.

Both are printed on the same archival grade cotton rag fine art paper, which has a beautiful texture and the colour pops off the page with a matte finish.

Are you pregnant wanting an underwater maternity session and would also like a newborn session captured? Let's chat! I have been a newborn photographer for 11 years (and paediatric nurse for 16!), and have a purpose built natural light home studio perfect for newborn, sibling and family photos once baby has arrived if you would like to add a newborn shoot I can create a package for you.

Not sure if an underwater maternity shoot is for you? That's ok-they aren't for everyone! I can also do maternity shoots on dry land and you can absolutely still jump in the water at the end of your shoot and I can take photos from the land if this is more your style. Ive got you covered.

Maternity shoots can be done in your own home, park, field, beach or at the river. I have photoshoot locations all over Perth and we can find one that suits you the best.

Partners, kids, and dogs also welcome to attend of course!
