Behind THE scenes
Newborn shoots usually start at about 10am on your scheduled day. But I want you to arrive as RELAXED as possible- and I also want you to give a good feed at home before you jump in the car so I request that you just send me a text when on your way. If you need to start earlier because you have other siblings needing naps this is also possible.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR NEWBORN photoSHOOT
I usually start the shoot with a sleepy baby on their own. I follow babies lead on this and allow lots of time for extra feed top ups and cuddles as necessary. Newborn shoots usually last 1.5-3hrs depending on your baby! So bring snacks- especially for toddlers.
While the newborn is the star - Sibling and family photos are a huge part of every baby shoot. We will get all the variations and grandparents are welcome to come along and be included too!

The newborn studio has beautiful natural light and will be heated to the perfect tempreture all year round for babies comfort (which is a little warm for us so don't overdress even in winter!). We discuss what colours you like for backdrops and wraps and I have a lovely range of colours to choose from.

The editing process for me is very personalised to each shoot and every single image you purchase gets full individual attention, and while it is a very time consuming part of the process I love watching an image come to life.
My editing style is timeless and focussed on natural skin tones and beautifully enhancing the colours in the frame so they last longer than any current trend.
I don't edit to change how you look dramatically but happy to edit things like pimples or bruises that wouldn't normally be there.

When you purchase prints and albums through me you can be rest assured that i have sourced the best quality products from local Perth, and Australian suppliers. All images are triple checked before sending to print.
In this digital age I feel even more strongly for you to have a tangible way to relive all the memories. I see prints for the wall as art to be enjoyed everyday, and albums to treasure all your favourites to be enjoyed in one beautiful place for many many years to come.
Both are printed on the same archival grade cotton rag fine art paper, which has a beautiful texture and the colour pops off the page with a matte finish.
