I. Love. New. Love

engagement photography

So your other half has popped the question, and wedding planing has well and truly set in! The biggest party you will ever have to organise and it’s completely understandable if you’re feeling the pressure!

Before you know it, you’re so focussed on all the little details to make everything perfect for your big day. The dress, the theme, the venue, the celebrant, the flowers, cake, stationary, bridesmaids dresses, suits, styling, catering make-up and hair and of course- the photographer. It can feel like another thing to check off your list without another thought.

I’m going to go out on a limb here by saying this, but in my opinion while all those things are nice-your wedding shouldn’t really be about any of those ‘things’- your focus should be about celebrating your love, and the beginning of your marriage. It’s about family, and friends, and how marrying your best friend is the best thing to happen since sliced bread.

It’s a momentous occasion, a day where you will look back on as one of your fondest memories, declaring your love with all you wanted to witness it. And the photos are how you will look back on those memories. It’s an incredible honour to document a wedding day, and one I don’t take lightly.

I would say most people don’t feel confident with a camera pointed at them (myself included!). And while I have photographed many couples without having done an engagement session previously, I’m moving back towards including these sessions COMPLIMENTARY as an added bonus for all my wedding couples.

This is because I feel so strongly about getting to know each other, and connecting on more then a surface level so I can truly get those heart felt moments for you.
